I tried a new park Sunday morning - the park has some history - it was used as a mill back in 1830's but as luck would have it, I found nothing old. There is a lot of ground to cover so I will be heading back there again. My finds for the day were 3-q, 2-d, 1-n and 3 pennies for a buck 3.

Yesterday's hunt
It was finally a nice day here in Central NY, no rain - sunny but cool - nice detecting weather. I hit a couple of schools - no wheat pennies but did find an interesting coin at one school - a mexican coin. Some kid must have lost if for show and tell. My haul was 6-q, 12-d, 3-n and 15 pennies for a total of 3 bucks even - 36 coins.

Rain Rain go away
Haven't been able to get out due to the rain storm the east coast has had. The ground should be nice and soft now but it's going to be a mess to dig. I hope the weekend will be nice.

Another wheat penny in the park
Went back to the city park and found my 4th wheat penny - 1944 and some clad. I was using the Delta - no cell phone today and I could get the sensitivity to around 7 or 8. Still had some interference but was able to get some hits - I forgot my headphones so it made it a little harder to locate. There has to be some silver there somewhere - just need to find it. The haul was 1-q, 2-d and four pennies.

Short lunch hunt
Went out for a brief moment at lunch time yesterday. Had the IDX pro - what a difference from the Delta - much heavier - anyway only found 20 cents - 1-d, 1-n and 5 pennies.

Hunting called off due to rain
Didn't get a chance to get out yesterday due to the rain. I will see how bad the ground is today but it doesn't look good.

Weekend hunts
Sunday I went to a new school where they had a huge tot lot. I did find a lot of clad and a wheat penny - 1942. I found the coins in and around the lot. The school is newer so I did not hunt the fields. This was school #1. MY take was 8-q, 7-d, 2-n and 18 pennies for 2 bucks and 98 cents.
After this school I went back to the school I hunter yesterday afternoon. No wheat pennies but found some clad - 3,q, 6d, 2-n and 1 penny and a canadian nickel. 13 coins for a buck 46. School #2
I took my son and his friend to their school so I did a little hunting there. I did find ring number 29 and another wheat penny - 1951-s. I'm finding wheats but the silver is no where to be found. My finds were 2-q, 5-d and 2 pennies along with a cross. 9 coins for a dollar 2. My grand total for the weekend was $6.20 - 3 wheat pennies, 1 ring and a dog.
