I did manage to get one lunch hunt in between the rain we were getting.  Now I hope the ground is soft enough to dig in.  With the weekend here I hope to make up for the lost time.  My take Thursday was 97 cents.

FOUND A BUCK

Went out at lunch time yesterday - the ground is hard, need some rain.  I did manage to find just over a buck - I hope to find more silver in this area but digging is not fun.  The coins are deep so I hope it rained last night.

WEEKEND HUNTS FINDS 3 MORE WHEAT PENNIES

Started the day Saturday by going to the beach - found some clad then had to go because there was an event ready to take off and where I parked I was going to get boxed in so I went to the my new park - found a 1926 wheat and clad. Briefly met L at one of my son's schools - didn't stay long - had my son with me.   My take for the day was under 3 bills.

Sunday at the beach was better - I had a better clad count and did find a wheat penny(probably lost in change) and a cheap piece of jewelry.  My take was 2 bucks even plus a canadian penny.

I hit my school because they tore up the sidewalks - nothing.  So I hunted the grounds some and found over 2 bucks in clad.  On the way back home I hit my favorite spot and found a wheat penny and an old compact. Can't wait to get there in the fall - the poison ivy is all over the place.  Ended up not a bad weekend.

HOW TO BEAT THE HEAT - WITH NICE COOL SILVER

I found a way to beat the heat - grab your detector and find some silver.  Yep I found a merc during my lunch hunt yesterday - wasn't expecting it but really appreciate the find.  I found it on the opposite side of the fields where I have found other silver coins.  It was about 8 inches down - now I will have to hunt this side a little harder.  My clad count was 13 cents but finding silver made the day.

3 WHEATS FOUND ON EVENING HUNT

I hit a new area last night - on old church that I got permission to hunt and found 3 wheat pennies #'s79 -81 and some clad.  L met up with me there - There is not a lot of ground -  we both were finding a lot of metal.  Then we went over to a ball park that was used by a school built back in the late 1800's - only found some clad - the take was 91 cents and the wheats.
I've had some good lunch hunts finding decent clad totals - over 2 bucks on Mon. and over a buck yesterday. The next couple of days are going to be hot and humid so I may not be getting out.
