WEEKEND HUNT

It's finally going to warm up this weekend - so hopefully I can get out and do some detecting.  Not sure how hard the ground is but I probably will hunt the woods so the ground shouldn't be too bad.  Maybe a little snow tonight then the warm up - hope that trend continues.

GAVE IT A TRY

The weather wasn't the best but it was good enough to get out and try an area in the woods where I've had past luck.  No such luck though only finding a memorial penny but it felt good to swing the detector again.  The snow was covering most of the ground but it wasn't deep.  Will have to see what the up coming is going to be like - and hopefully I can give it another shot.

MAYBE THIS WEEKEND

It's still going to be cold by Friday but the weekend looks like it's going to warm up some.  Been getting cabin fever waiting for the weather to break - hopefully I get a chance Saturday.  Keeping my fingers crossed. 

AND THE SNOW KEEPS ON COMING

Just got hit with another snow storm, maybe another 4 to 6 inches on the ground.  Starting to get cabin fever and you can only do so much research - there are a lot of places I'd like to hunt but it looks like it's going to be a while. 

WINTER IS BACK

We had a couple of nice days last week including setting a record high for the day, but with the work schedule I wasn't able to take advantage of it.  Now the snow and cold have come back and it looks as though it going to stay a while.  Can't complain - this is Central NY and it is February - just hope the month goes by fast. 

WOODS HUNTS

It was exactly summer but the weather was decent enough to get out and hunt.  I hit the woods - one area where I've found some large cents, one new and where I've found my walking liberty.  Needless to say I only found a penny - not worthy of recording.  I think my spots are drying up - need to try some different areas - that's where the research comes in - but I need a good day since I will have to travel -  not much area left to hunt here. 

SATURDAY HUNT

We had unexpected warm weather yesterday - getting to almost 50 degrees so I took advantage of it.  I hit a wooded area with some history and T met me there - found just some clad again - nothing old then T took me to a park next to his house - he has found lots of silver and he did again.  I managed 3 wheat pennies - only 1 with a date and more clad.   I hope to get some pictures - got a new computer so I hope the scanner works with it - I did find over a buck in clad and a dog tag.
