AT PRO ON THE WAY

I traded my minelab safari for a Garrett AT- Pro.  Should be arriving by the end of the week.  I had good luck with the safari having one of my best silver days ever but with limited places on land to hunt - going in the water would be the next step.  Plus I've heard about the depth of the pro so I can't wait to try it out.

SILVER STREAK CONTINUES

I met up with D yesterday and we hit a different city park - tried an area where the kids slide - only found clad and a foreign coin - D found an Indian and wheat penny.   So we tried another park of the park - had better luck there - got my second canadian dime and first war nickel of the year out of the same hole.  Managed to get over 2 bucks in clad.

RESEARCH PAYS OFF - FOUND SEATED DIME

My research has finally paid off.  I found a place that had lots of history so I met up with T and he drove to the spot.  There is a lot of ground to cover so we'll have to go back - I managed only 1 coin but it was a good coin - my first ever seated liberty - a dime.   We were hoping one of us would find one with the past history.  T managed a clad quarter.  Another coin off the wish list and my 45th silver coin this year. 

MONDAY A WASHOUT

Well I was waiting for the weather to clear and hopefully get a hunt in on my day off but it never happened.  It was just a very fine mist enough to keep me inside.  Wasn't how I wanted to spend the holiday but at least I didn't have to go to work.

TOO MUCH GOING ON THIS WEEKEND

It was just one of those weekends that just had too much to do.  Saturday my son had a football game then my daughter wanted my to visit her at college so there went the day.
This morning I tried a place along the canal for a couple of hours only to find a clad dime then more time the son and I actually saw my Steelers win a game.  Next week they're on late so I can spend more time detecting.
Tomorrow is a holiday so I plan on getting out somewhere - again getting hard to find spots to go.

AFTER WORK HUNT NETS SILVER

T worked in my building today so we decided to try my hot spot for a quick hunt after work.  We both managed to find silver - me a washington quarter and T  a merc and a rosie plus wheat pennies.  Then the bugs became too much so we called it quits.  I can't believe we're still pulling silver out of there but we'll take it

PAST WEEKEND HUNT

It's been a very busy week so I haven't posted last weeks finds yet.  Didn't get too much hunting in with the son's football game and the rain - managed to find a wheat penny and over a buck in clad.  My gadget column is not working so I can't update anything over there.  Hope that gets fixed soon.
