SATURDAY HUNT

I met up with T and we went back to the spot where I found my seated liberty.  We were hoping to find an area where coins could have been dropped.  It was cold and we had no such luck  - neither of us finding anything.  Then we hit a spot I hunted before finding some wheat pennies - T found a walking liberty half and all I found was clad.  It got colder as the day went on and the snow was starting to fly.  I'm not putting away the detector yet but it's not looking good down the road.

WEEKEND HUNTS

Saturday I met up with T and we were planning a road trip but he was in the doghouse with the wife so we stayed close to his house and hunted some circles.  Neither of us found anything but some clad and the hunt was short as he had to get home.
Sunday I met D and we hunted a park that he has had good finds and I can't believe that silver is in there having hunted it before several times and finding a coin was lucky.  Again he found to silver dimes and I did manage a couple of wheat pennies.  The hunt was short due to the rain.   I have post my findings which isn't a lot but as soon as I clean the coins.

BIRTHDAY HUNT

Yesterday was my birthday so I took the day off from work to do some metal detecting.  I tried a wooded area where I've had luck in the past and to try my new DD 4x6 coil on my whites.  Only found clad so I went to park and again only clad.  But any day metal detecting is better than a day at work. 

HOME FOR THE WEEKEND

I went up north to my home town this past weekend with my son to visit my brother.   Saturday was all day with the family and was planning a day of detecting on Sunday.  But as luck would have it it rained all day Sunday so I didn't get a chance to get out.   I did managed a few minutes Monday morning and found about 4 coins before heading back home but that was it - at least I got to see family and friends - maybe next year. 

BROTHER IN TOWN

My brother was in town at my niece's dance classes so we got together early Saturday.  Didn't get a chance to detect as I spent most of the day with him.   I did manage a quick hunt Sunday morning using my AT pro - still trying to get use to it  - I did find a wheat penny at a local school.  I found some junk deep - and 3 stinkin lincolns.   I need some more practice with it but I like the way the detector works. 

AT PRO FINDS SILVER NUMBER 50 FOR YEAR

I met T after work and we met at my hot spot.  I used the At pro again and I found a silver coin - my 50th for the year along with some wheat pennies.  After I put my 4x6 dd coil on my V3X and my first coin with that was a wheat penny.  I liking the pro and I do like the dd coil.  Need to try some different areas and test them both out.

GOT MY AT PRO

My At Pro arrived and I tried it out Wednesday - got to get use to it but I did manage to find a couple of wheat pennies on a short hunt - had to go to dinner.  I'm going to like this machine - had T show me some settings so I think it was a very good trade.  Can't wait till spring to get into the water.
