BACK TO THE PARK - AGAIN

It was expected to be a hot and muggy day so I hit the park early Sunday morning - it was nice at first because of the cloud cover but when the sun came out it I could feel the heat. And that was around 10 am - I did manage to find a couple of wheat pennies, clad and a token ( thought it was a colonial coin at first) and not much else. I'm still hoping there is some older silver there - will have to wait until the next soaking rain - need every advantage I can get.

A PENNY DAY AT THE PARK BUT...

I went back to the park after hunting with K last weekend - I found nothing but pennies but 2 of them were wheat and I found my 4th large cent - 1848. I have never found that many in one spot - 3 was my best. Now I'm hoping there is a seated coin there after finding all these large cents. It's back to the park for a few more hunts.

THE WEEKEND - 3 SILVER SUNDAY

I met up with K on Saturday to hunt a sidewalk tear out on his road. He had found several old coins including large cents, Indian head and wheat pennies along with some silver. But no luck for either of us - someone had beat us to the punch as K saw some plugs. We did hunt a 1800's house and all that was found was a wheat penny.
Sunday I was back up in his neighbor hood and went to a school down the street from his house. Again K has had good luck there along with me. He found 2 mercury dimes in the same hole - I found a buffalo nickel and also found 2 mercury dimes in the same hole along with a Washington quarter - made up for Saturday for sure. So overall a good weekend.

Sunday morning I went back to the park - my first find was a mercury dime about 8" down. Also managed to find a couple of more wheat pennies and a good luck boy scout token plus the usual clad. So far this park has been good to me - hope there is more to be found.

4th OF JULY HUNT

Back to my uncle's camp for the family reunion and back to the high school I hunt every time we meet. Last year I found my first silver there - this year nothing but clad. It was a lot nicer though - no hot sun and the ground was soft.   On a bright side, I did my my first president dollar coin for the year - well there's always next year. Hope everyone had a good 4th.

NEW PARK HUNT ACT III A FIRST

I went back to my "new" spot and I had a first for me.   I found 2 1800's coins in the same day - both were large cents but unfortunately they had no dates.   No silver or wheat pennies but I'm hoping there is some old silver there. I have them soaking now and I hope to have another video from the last 2 hunts there. Happy 4t of July to everybody and HH.
