Though the temps have been okay, it's the rain that needs to stop. Today it's raining again but me and T still hope to hit a permission spot that's not underwater on Saturday. We do have a back up plan but would like to try this area since it is on a 1874 map.

EASTER SILVER
I'm finally able to post my last weekend's finds - I did manage another silver dime on Easter. Saturday I met up with T and we hit a park in his neck of the woods. I found 2 Indian head and 4 wheat pennies. The bad thing is the coins are in terrible shape - this park is not nice to the pennies. I think I got one date off the IH's 1891.
Easter Sunday I went to the local park and found silver #12. I'm having a great year in that department. Hopefully I can keep the streak going.

BIG SILVER - STREAK ENDS
On my last 3 hunts, the first 2 found silver while the last hunt the streak ended. Had to end sometime so I hope I can start another one. I found my first half dollar in a few years - it was nice to see that silver mixed in with the dirt. 11 silvers so far this year - way ahead of last year. I'm also ahead with the wheat pennies.

Another weekend hunt and I was lucky again and found silver. Saturday I went to a park I haven't hunted in a while - did manage some wheat pennies and clad but no silver.
Sunday I to a new spot in the woods, I got a 82 hit on the max and found a barber dime. Lots more woods to cover so I will be back.

ANOTHER WEEKEND WITH SILVER
Saturday I started out in the woods, had some nice hits but only found clad. Later I met up with S and hit a park. I did manage a couple of wheat pennies and clad.
Sunday was a much better day going back to my current hot spot where I found another barber dime, buffalo nickel, Indian head penny and a few wheat pennies. And the weather was finally nice. So far this year I'm behind in my clad total but ahead in silver and older coins department. I'll take that anytime.

SILVER STREAK CONTINUES
Saturday I met up with T at a park - he found the first silver but I got the best silver finding a barber and Merc, also getting my first 1800's coin for the year. I also got a buffalo nickel and few wheat pennies. We went to another park where the luck ran out. The weather was nice for once - it was a good day.
Sunday I met up with S and we hit a local park. I managed another silver coin and some wheat pennies but we didn't stay long as the weather was terrible - how it changes day to day. Overall a very good weekend.
