SILVER, LOTS OF NICKELS AND WHEATS

I had another decent weekend finding a silver dime, buffalo nickels and wheat pennies.   I can't believe all the nickels I found including 10 alone on Sunday plus a buffalo. My hunting partner has officially moved to North Carolina - but he will come up north every now and then.   It August already - time is flying by and I'll be back in the woods soon. 

MORE SILVER AND WHEAT PENNIES

After my vacation I've been getting out some - the heat has been terrible but I've been fortunate to find some silver dimes and wheat pennies plus the usual clad.   I think this coming weekend is going to be cooler - that will be a nice break.  I'm also losing a detecting buddy T - he is moving to North Carolina for a new job, but he has invited me to come down once he gets settled in and do some detecting.  Can't wait for that.

UP NORTH HUNT

This past weekend I was on vacation and went up north to see my brother.   I did manage a couple of short hunts including my sister-in laws new property.  She has 17 acres of land with lots of woods.  I did find a wheat penny and 1946 nickel - so it looks promising - I'll have to go back in the fall when the growth is down and do some exploring.

SECOND MULTIPLE SILVER DAY AND SURPRISE

I had a nice weekend having my first multiple silver day for the year.  I managed to find to Roosevelt dimes and had an unexpected draped bust penny.  I have found only 1 other 1800's coin in this park - the coin was about 10 inches down and I accidentally nicked it.  Now that I found a coin that old I will have to venture back and see if there are anymore coins that old.  I think I found an old shoe buckle as well.
