I decided to take a chance on a park in a different county about 40 minutes away - the park looked promising and some people walking their dog said the park was around in the late 1880's. I got my hopes up in hoping to find an old coin but I was lucky to find coins period. It is a nice size park but very hard to find anything. Another person walking their dog said he sees TH's in the park all the time. Boy he was right and they don't miss much. I only found 78 cents after over 2 hours+ of hunting even by the tot lot. What a waste of a Friday.

SATURDAY A LITTLE BETTER BUT.....
I went this morning with the threat of rain and went to the church where I had found the mercury and wheat pennies. My first find was a 1944 wheat and then a couple of pennies. A guy from the fire station came over and asked if the local priest knew about my hunting. I said that my in-laws went to the church and that I was a responsible person but no dice. He wanted me to contact the priest and ask so I will have by brother in-law talk to him since he was on a committee for the church. So people just don't like us hunters. Later I went to a school but it was too new - I knew I wouldn't find anything old but did manage over a buck and change.
