PARK HUNT YIELDS WHEAT BUT NO SILVER

I met up with Joe this morning and we went to a park where he had found some old wheat pennies and an Indian penny.  Joe didn't have any luck today just finding clad and I found a wheat  1921.  I also found clad  $2.72  7-q, 9-d, and 7 pennies 23 coins.   There was a lot of junk in this park - it was hard to get a reading with the detectors because of all the pull tabs, bottle caps etc.  But it's a city park - too many parties.

SHORT PARK HUNT LEADS TO SILVER

Went this morning to a park where I had found 6 wheat pennies thinking there has to be silver there.  Sure enough found a silver Washington quarter about 5 inches down - 1941.  I was finding memorial pennies deeper.  My 11th silver coin this year and 3rd within the week.  I hope this trend keeps up.  Also found a buck 14 in clad  4-q, 1-d and 4 pennies.  Who needs that other school???

DONE AT MY FAVORITE SCHOOL??????

I had a schedule change yesterday and went to where I found my 2 silver coins along with my son.  It was after 5pm and the school was full of activity.  I went to the area where I found the SLQ and did find a wheat penny #60 1945 - for the year and not much else.  A woman came over to me and said she was the Director of athletics and saw me digging and asked if I was a member of the school.  She said she didn't want me digging in the field because of the sports and not being a member.  There goes my best spot for finding old coins in the city.  Hopefully something can be worked out but I'm not counting on it.   ARGH!!!!

New school

Went to a different city school this morning and found another person detecting - the first time I've seen someone.
He had been there a while so I wasn't counting on finding too much. He did find a gold pendant so I hope there is more out there. I managed to find a wheat penny  1942 and a buck 8 in clad  4-q, 1-n and 3 pennies.  The weather was weird today - raining, snowing then sunny but cold.  I didn't stay long as my son called and needed me home.  I will hit this school again.
