SATURDAY MORNING HUNT

Got a chance to hunt another school where I've had luck in the past.  No silver but did find a couple of wheat pennies and on old Canadian penny plus over a buck in clad.  The ground surface is softer with the rain we had on Friday but some parts of the ground are still pretty dry.  Won't be as hot tomorrow and hope to get out again - maybe a road trip to somewhere different.

Saturday finds

SCHOOL HUNT

Went to a school again where I've had luck in the past - again nothing but clad but one of my better days finding double digit in  coins and over a buck 50.  Been a slow year with the hot weather making the ground very dry and hard to dig in - but what can you do?  At least I got out so I can't complain.   Included in my total will be my great clad count of the park in PA - a whopping .16 cents.  If we go back next year to the race may have to stay at a different place but the hotel was nice and convenient so could be in the same boat.

Monday and PA finds

PA TRIP

Got back from a trip to Pennsylvania, I got to hunt a park while the rest of the family took in a nascar race.  Someone got killed by a lightning strike and 9 others hurt - thankfully my family made out okay.  They saw the ambulance go by them when they were leaving.  Prayers for the one killed and the others.
At the park a worker said the ground had been filled in over swamp - I tried it anyway since I was there - found lots of trash - few coins.  Since I was on foot I was limited to where I could go.  Would have liked to hit a few more spots - maybe next year if we go back.
