BONUS DAY FRIDAY

I took the day off so I could take my daughter back to college to take her final test for the year.   After I went back to the spot where I was on Wednesday to try it again without the rain.  I found mostly clad but did on the last dig managed to pull silver - a mercury dime.
D is back from California so I hope to get out with him today.  It rained through the night so the ground should be primed for digging.

A HUNT IN THE RAIN

I had the day off yesterday and as soon as I started out - of course the rain started as well.   I went to a spot where I've had found some silver before - no luck but did find a couple of wheat pennies and clad.  Also found what looks like to be a girl scout pin.   Didn't hunt long - the detector is more water proof than I am.

SLOW WEEKEND

I met up with T and K on Saturday morning in a spot where K has had very good luck.  His daughter found a 1876 seated half dollar so T and I were hoping for some good stuff.  The ground was as hard as a rock and pinpointing was a problem for me and T.  We had a hard time finding our targets - not a good day.  I found some clad and 2 beat up wheat pennies and T and K didn't fare much better.  Will have to go back when the ground is moist - K said that's when he found his good stuff.
Sunday I went back to my dime trifecta spot and couldn't find a coin.   The ground was still moist but it was hard to read because there's so much junk in the ground - like trying to read morse code -  I did end up with a wheat penny and quarter before the storm came.   Not a lot of coins but good to hunt with T and K again.
