I'm trying my hand at coin rolling since I haven't found any silver in the ground lately - bringing my Kennedy halves to my bank and exchange the rolls for different ones. When I asked the teller's they look at me like I have 3 heads - all I want is to exchange roll for roll. Either they don't get it or they just say we don't have any. Well I did get to exchange a couple of rolls and did find one silver half dollar - a 1967 which is 40% silver. So now it begins - hopefully I can find some more and the price of silver is going back up again - who knows maybe a new detector soon?

HUNTED THE WOODS AND A PARK
I met up with L and we tried some woods that she has hunted before. We didn't get anything but it may have to wait until spring when the brush is flat after the snow melt. Then we hit a park we hunted before. I managed 27 cents and wheat penny #131. L had no luck. The ground was terrible - full of water from the 2 days of rain.

PARK HUNT - FRIEND'S HOUSE - SAME RESULT
I started Monday at a friend's house trying to find his wedding band he lost a couple of year s ago. The house was built back in the 1800's so I was also hoping to find an old coin. Well I found neither - no ring or even a coin. I'm going to try it again - he has over 2 acres of land - just going to take my time and maybe luck out with finding both.
Tuesday I took a drive and hit a park that has some history to it. Part of it has been around since the turn of the century. The park is huge - lots to hunt and I hit a small portion of it. I did manage the usual clad and my oldest coin was a Canadian penny, but again nothing old. I will hunt this place again - lots of promising area to cover.

FINALLY - WHEAT PENNY #130
Well it took awhile but I finally found wheat penny #130. I found it in the woods while hunting with L and 2 other TH's.
Saturday evening I hit the woods while my son practice his punting. It was late and dark but I did manage to find a couple of quarters and a penny.
Sunday I started the day with L and the other 2 hunters. We started in someone's yard across from the woods. No one found anything old. One hunter found a junk ring. Then we split up and hunted different areas. I managed to get my wheat and some other clad. The oldest coins were wheat pennies - no silver.
Later this afternoon my son wanted to practice football again and I hunted around the field finding some clad and a pin.
