COLD HUNT IN THE WOODS = SILVER

The weather was cold but not as cold as predicted earlier in the week.  So I hit some woods and didn't have a bad day.  I found my my 3rd silver coin for the year - a 1916 mercury dime, a Kennedy half dollar(first this year) and 43 cents in clad.  I can't believe I have found more silver coins than wheat pennies so far.

DETECTOR WHO NEEDS A STINKIN DETECTOR?

While I work today I found a quarter, a Canadian quarter 1949 which I think is silver.  Didn't need a detector but it's more fun with one.  Since I found it at work I won't be counting it toward my totals - just a nice eyeball find.

NOW I FOUND A REAL ONE

Well I hit a school that I've hunted in the past and had some good finds there.  Today I tried behind it where the woods are and found my "real" first peace dollar.  I thought I found one earlier this year but it was a two headed copy.  I had to look twice to make sure it was the real deal.  Got to hit these woods again.  I also found over $2.40 in clad so not a bad day.

A HUNT IN THE PARK

I wanted to try a park I thought was county land but when I got there it was "state" land.  The park is old by the history that was available at a booth.  No one was around but knowing my luck someone of authority would have shown and who knows what after that.  So I hit a park down the street which I have hunted before.  Didn't find much then and didn't find much yesterday.  I thought it my be a good day when I hit a 1946 Canadian penny hoping there were some more older coins but turned out not to be the case.  And it was colder with a strong wind that didn't help.  So I hunted a few hours finding under a buck.  Hope to hit some woods today.
