THURSDAY AND SATURDAY HUNTS

I met a friend of mine on Thursday and he had a spot where they dug up around a pool but it was fenced off.   It was also a spot where there use to be an old school house - my friend has found silver in the past but we both had no luck. Did find a little clad.
Today I hit another school this morning - had luck with the clad and some wheat pennies - found silver in the past but again - not today.  I hit another school - found a wheat and some clad.  I managed to find the wheat penny I lost - in was in my pouch but a different pocket.  Also found half a wheat penny - the back is ok but no front - weird.  Almost 4 bucks in clad.

HOT SPOT GIVES UP SILVER AGAIN

I had to go sub at my old school this afternoon and wanted to hunt it after I finished work.  But they were having a track meet so I decided to go by my "hot spot" and give it a try.  First find was a wheat penny then a clad dime.  I got a decent hit and found a mercury dime - my sixth silver coin from this area.  I hunted about an hour.

Wednesday finds

VERY SLOW SUNDAY

I started at a school Sunday morning then got a text from a friend about hunting a house built in the 1870's so I met up with him.  The main road was now the driveway and we started to hunt along that then went to an area where the barn was.  My friend found a couple of clad coins and I found a zincoln. There was a ton of metal plus the power lines over head made it difficult to detect - lots of noise. We hope to go back and hunt by the house - which we didn't get a chance to do.  Then I briefly hunted my friend's property which is also old - no luck - I think he found everything. Then I went to watch my Steeler's play and lose - hopefully next Sunday will be better - detecting wise - the Steeler's are off next week.  I did find 2 pennies at the school so 3 overall - not worth the coin post.

PAST COUPLE OF HUNTS

I went out late Wednesday night and Saturday morning - not much for finds - some wheat pennies and little clad.  Wednesday I hit my "hot" school finding 2 more wheat pennies - hope there is more silver there and Saturday morning I hit the school where I've found plenty of wheat pennies and was hoping for deep silver - but my luck some guy was setting up for kiddie soccer so I had to go - back into the woods down the road and found a wheat penny there.  We've had lots of rain and now the ground  has moisture again so hoping to be digging deep.  I did manage nickel find but it was on the surface so I still haven't dug a nickel with the safari.

Wed. and Sat. finds
