CAN'T WIN THEM ALL

I met my friend after work yesterday and we tried a different part of the woods.  We didn't have a lot of time to hunt since it now gets dark by 6:00.  Needless to say we didn't find much of anything - I found a memorial penny and my friend found nothing.  This late in the season I'm interested in the home runs and not singles.  Maybe the next hunt will bring something - I hope.

WEEKEND HUNT FINDS SILVER

I went to a new place to hunt - another wooded area hoping to find some older coins.  No such luck - I did find a quarter and penny - clad of course and some poison ivy.  Got to watch where I'm hunting.
Sunday morning I went back to the old school that has been hot for finding silver.  The ground is now nice and moist and the detector is going deep.  I managed clad - 3 wheat pennies and a silver quarter - about 8 inches down.  Most of the coins were deep.
In the afternoon I went to a friend's house that was built back in the 1800's.  I found a silver washington there before but no such luck again.  Just some pennies and a clad dime.  Maybe next time.
