I went to a new place to hunt - another wooded area hoping to find some older coins. No such luck - I did find a quarter and penny - clad of course and some poison ivy. Got to watch where I'm hunting.
Sunday morning I went back to the old school that has been hot for finding silver. The ground is now nice and moist and the detector is going deep. I managed clad - 3 wheat pennies and a silver quarter - about 8 inches down. Most of the coins were deep.
In the afternoon I went to a friend's house that was built back in the 1800's. I found a silver washington there before but no such luck again. Just some pennies and a clad dime. Maybe next time.
