QUICK SCHOOL HUNT

Went back to the school where I had found the merc - no silver today but did get another wheat penny.  I've been finding a lot more nickels since I put the SEF coil back on - may have to use it for the rest of the year. Hope to venture out somewhere today just not sure where yet.  Wish it would have rained but no such luck.

PREVIEW FOR THE WEEKEND???

I hit a local school - had luck there in the past - found my first silver in a while - a mercury dime along with 3 wheat pennies. The merc was deep about 6 inches down and I didn't know what I had found until I saw the side of the hole.  The next 3 coins were the wheat pennies so I hope this is a sign of how the weekend will be.  I've had a lot better finds since I put my 10X12 SEF coil back on - much deeper targets.  It's suppose to rain tonight and tomorrow so I hope it's a good soaking rain - great for the DFX - it loves the wet ground.

BEST (CLAD) DAY IN A WHILE

I had to travel but I had my best clad day in quite some time.  Found nothing old and over a half century in coins - hunted some spots that have produced in the past but it wasn't my day.  I hit a new school - wasn't sure how old it was but I don't think it has been hunted a lot.  I was finding coins on the surface and  6 - 8 inches down.  I had my best nickel day finding 11 total this morning.  Found close to 5 bucks.
My afternoon hunt was at a school where I've had luck with wheat pennies - found only clad.  No nickels at this school but over 2 bucks in change.  This reminds of the good ole days when my weekends were like this - but it looks like I need to travel after having a good day at a different school.  I did manage ring #9 - junk.
