ANOTHER LARGE CENT IN WOODS
I went back to the woods where I found a 1853 large cent hoping for some old silver. It wasn't old but it was silver - a war nickel and I did manage another large cent. This one was 1822. I still think there is some old silver in there and I will give it another shot this weekend.

STILL ABLE TO DETECT
Well it's December and I'm still able to detect. I had a nice hunt last weekend finding a war nickel and other goodies. I'll take this all winter if we can. I can dress up for the cold.

BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND - COIN AND WEATHER WISE
The weather has been terrific lately - in the lower 70's for November and the detecting just as good. I went to an past spot and found a silver quarter, 2 buffalo nickels and wheat pennies and another wheat on Sunday. This coming weekend won't be in the 70's but still not too cold.

SILVER IN THE WOODS
Last week I was in the woods and I found some nice coin - a barber dime, a buffalo nickel and some wheat pennies were in a park. I wanted to get back in the woods this morning but it rained plus it's windy - don't need a branch coming down.

A PENNY FOR YOUR THOUGHTS
I managed to get this past weekend - no silver but did find a nice looking penny in the woods. This coin is in very nice shape - one of the best I've dug. I also found some wheat pennies.

STILL DETECTING - GOT SILVER
I haven't been keeping up on the blog lately, but I did find some silver and wheat pennies. I've been hitting my past hot spots but they aren't giving up much. With the cooler weather I'm going to hit the woods some more.

VERY SLOW WEEKEND
I did get out this past weekend but I lucky to find the ground. Just clad unlike last weekend where I just found 3 wheat pennies. I have been hunting some of my old spots but doing something different. Maybe I need to just go back to the old hunt the area, but I'm using my small coil and going around the perimeter of my spots. It's getting cooler so I'll be back in the woods soon.

PAST HUNTS - SILVER AND SOME WHEATS
I've been getting out the last few weekends - not much on the finding front - a merc and some wheat pennies plus my usual clad. The ground is still hard to dig in but the temps are getting cooler. Soon I'll be back in the woods.

A NICE WET WEEKEND
I had a good weekend detecting though on both days I saw some rain. I found coins and a token from the 1800's and little clad. I manage to find my second every shield nickel - this one is in much better shape than my first one. I also got a barber dime.

STILL GETTING OUT - SILVER, WHEATS AND CLAD
I've been out the past several weekends - I did manage a silver dime and ring along with clad but nothing really to write home about. With fall coming up soon I plan to get back in the woods. Rain is in the forecast - we need it - the ground is rock hard. We'll see what this weekend brings.

A GREAT WEEKEND - SILVER AND MORE
I had a very good weekend finding 4 silver dimes, wheat pennies and a small ring. One of the dimes is a 1897 O Barber, I usually don't find them with mint marks. I'm already looking forward to next weekend.

MORE SILVER AND WHEAT PENNIES
After my vacation I've been getting out some - the heat has been terrible but I've been fortunate to find some silver dimes and wheat pennies plus the usual clad. I think this coming weekend is going to be cooler - that will be a nice break. I'm also losing a detecting buddy T - he is moving to North Carolina for a new job, but he has invited me to come down once he gets settled in and do some detecting. Can't wait for that.
