PARK HUNT

Went back to the park this time armed with the Delta 4000.  It's a nice machine but it really loves the old nails and metal.  I found a lot of rusty nails - deep but still junk.  I did manage 28 cents  4 coins.

STARTED SLOW THEN FOUND SOME COINS

I went to a co-workers house which was built back in the 1800's and hunted the woods behind his home.  No coins found but did find a gutted out pocket watch and other stuff.  Then I had to take my son to a friend's house and my daughter to a college fair then back to detecting.  Went to one of my favorite schools and found a buck 4 along with a 1956-d wheat penny - 10 coins  -  11 total.

AFTERNOON HUNT - 2ND SILVER COIN

I started at the school where I had my first century day last year and was pulling in a lot of clad.  I moved around to different spots to see if I could find anything old.  No dice so there is a park that I wanted to try and hit that.  I had to reduce the detector to coins only with all the junk in the park.  I did find 35 cents there.  The park is next to the woods so I went in there and had a hit right away - it was a 1935 Washington quarter, my second silver of the year,  but not much else after that.  I did find a wheat 1958-d, a 1955 canadian penny and some clad.  I will have to go back since there is a lot of woods to cover.  My take today was 4 bucks and 86 cents - 43 coins - 46 total - my best coin total so far.

FIRST SILVER OF THE YEAR

Went back to my new favorite park - just had a feeling and found my first silver coin of the year  - a 1950-d rosie. That's my 4th silver coin at this park.   I also found a 1924 wheat and a 1941 nickel.  I had 71 cents in clad.   Plus I found ring #2 - junk.  10 coins - 13 total.

LUNCH HUNT PRODUCES WHEAT PENNY

Did a quick lunch hunt - the weather wasn't that bad so I went to an area where I've had good luck with wheats and some silver.  No silver but did find a wheat penny 1957-d #11 this year. At this time last year I had only 1 wheat penny so I'm ahead in that department but behind in the coin and total amount count.  I had over 200 coins and over $20 last year - I will have to step it up a bit. I did find a buck 10.  11 coins - 12 total.
