I got out for a lunch hunt yesterday between some rain drops - found over a buck 60.  We got some needed rain in the evening and hopefully it soaked in the ground.  We've had rain but it hasn't really made the digging any easier so I hope last nights soaking will soften the ground some.

YESTERDAY AND THIS EVENING HUNTS

I got a chance to do a lunch hunt yesterday then did a small hunt at one of my son's school while he was kicking the football around.  I manage over a buck 50.
I went to a local school this evening and did fairly well.  I found 3 wheat pennies, some junk jewelry and close to 3 bucks in clad. 2 of the wheat pennies were in the same hole.

A VERY GOOD WEEKEND

Started Saturday morning with 2 other TH's at a school I hunted once before.  We chose different areas to detect and by the end of the day we had all done fairly well - one finding a couple of Rosies and we all found wheat pennies and lots of clad.  Plus I found a silver and gold plated ring. It got hot so we called it a day,  when I counted my coin total, I was short of a century day so I went back in the evening, finding 3 more wheat pennies, another silver ring and I got my 100 plus coins. I found a total of 5 wheats and a 1946 nickel.   Cash total was over 10 bucks.

Sunday I started at a friends house that was built back in the 1800's - didn't find anything but will have to hunt the woods in the fall.  I had to pick up my kids at my sister in-laws and decided to hunt the church - glad I did -  found a 1951-d Rosie and a couple of wheat pennies. I say it was a good weekend.

I did manage to get one lunch hunt in between the rain we were getting.  Now I hope the ground is soft enough to dig in.  With the weekend here I hope to make up for the lost time.  My take Thursday was 97 cents.

WEEKEND HUNTS FINDS 3 MORE WHEAT PENNIES

Started the day Saturday by going to the beach - found some clad then had to go because there was an event ready to take off and where I parked I was going to get boxed in so I went to the my new park - found a 1926 wheat and clad. Briefly met L at one of my son's schools - didn't stay long - had my son with me.   My take for the day was under 3 bills.

Sunday at the beach was better - I had a better clad count and did find a wheat penny(probably lost in change) and a cheap piece of jewelry.  My take was 2 bucks even plus a canadian penny.

I hit my school because they tore up the sidewalks - nothing.  So I hunted the grounds some and found over 2 bucks in clad.  On the way back home I hit my favorite spot and found a wheat penny and an old compact. Can't wait to get there in the fall - the poison ivy is all over the place.  Ended up not a bad weekend.
