HIT THE WOODS

I gave it a shot in the woods where I found my large cent earlier this year - wasn't expecting a lot in change but was hoping to find another old coin.  No old coins and only 37 cents in clad found in open areas - nothing in the woods.  There's got to be more older coins - I couldn't have found the only one.  Will hit it again soon.

FOUND 72 CENTS BUT....

I found 72 cents yesterday while cleaning the grounds.  Since I didn't use my detector I'm not going to count the finds to my total.  But it was nice to find some change and  now I want to get out and use the detector - hoping this weekend.

ANOTHER WEEKEND GOES BY

Well another weekend is almost over and I didn't get a chance to get out and swing the detector.  Today was a decent day but I didn't have the time.  Tomorrow the warm weather and rain return and it's supposed to be nice all week and hopefully the weekend.  Not quite light enough to go after work yet but that will soon be approaching.  Back to the maps and books.

RESEARCH

Didn't get a chance to get out this long weekend - cold plus the snow on the ground.  So I've been doing some research on areas I would like to hunt and maybe find the older coins.  Not counting on this weekend coming up but maybe in 2 weeks - keeping my fingers crossed.

WINTER ARRIVED - HAD TO SOMETIME

The first real storm of the winter season is upon us in Central NY,  dropping about 7" of snow.  Looks like this weekend is a "wash" and it's time to do some research.  The long range forecast has the temps getting back into the 40's by the end of the month. Let's hope their right.

AGAIN ONLY ONE COIN BUT....

Went back to the park along with a couple of other hunters and had the same result - 1 coin but not a trophy coin - just clad today.  This was a weekend I knew would not produce a lot of coins - was hoping for more older coins - maybe next time out.
