ANOTHER QUICK HUNT

 I went out after work again and tried some woods behind a school.  From the road it looked promising but once I got into the woods - not a lot of area to hunt.  There was a path but deep steep hills on both sides of the path, not much flat land but did manage to find a quarter on the path.

SHORT HUNT AFTER WORK

I hit some woods after work yesterday since I can't go to the schools because of sports practices.  I found a wheat penny right off then not much.  I ended up finding to more pennies - memorials and that's it.  But it was nice to get out during the week - just waiting for the weekend now.

FOUND ONLY 3 COINS BUT...

Today I decided to try some different woods - there is some history with these woods so in I went.  My first find was a wheat penny so that gave me some hope that there could be something more.  Then I found my second large copper of the year 1837 - this really got me pumped up.  My third find was another wheat penny.  The coins were slow in coming then my son called,  I will have to hit this area again hoping to find some silver.  I would like to close the gap between 1837 and 1916 which was my oldest wheat found.  No clad today.

ANOTHER SATURDAY WASTED

The snow and the cold won out today along with taking my daughter to a college fair.  Tomorrow the weather is supposed to warm up so I hope to get out and make up for today. 

SNOWY SUNDAY

I hit a couple of parks today - one was new - probably one of the oldest parks in Syracuse.  I picked up Gopher and tried the older park first.  Wasn't bad at the beginning then mother nature let us know who was boss.  We hunted in a white out about an hour and it got cold.  Not much luck - finding .90 cents and tons of trash.  We then hit a park I hunted before and had found some wheat pennies.  The snow was coming and going and then the ground became wet and muddy.  It was nice when the sun came out but that wasn't for too long.  I found just over 50 cents there.  Only 1 wheat penny found by gopher.  Hope next weekend is warmer.

WARM - WINDY DAY - HIT THE WOODS

Finally a nice warmer day with a lot of wind.  Tried the woods again and met up with L for the first time this year.  She didn't find much and I found over a buck and 2 wheat pennies.  Speaking of pennies I did have a good penny day finding 30.  Need to find the silver - maybe next time.

DEDICATED OR CRAZY

We had some snow fall yesterday but today is a nice sunny day so I decided to hit the woods.  The snow was about 2 - 4 inches deep -  I got to walk a tight grid since I could see my footsteps.  I did manage a wheat penny and 37 cents in clad - a lot of pennies again.  Hopefully next weekend will be better.
