EASTER HUNT

I did a hunt today and it wasn't for Easter eggs. I had a late start and I traveled some today and tried a couple of new parks to me.  The first park yielded nothing but I've heard of a gold coin coming from it.  May try it again when I get my DFX.  I then tried another park and had some better luck.  Managed to find just under a buck and an Eisenhower dollar - my second ever and second dollar this year.  I ran into a friend of mine who also detects and he is going to show me some spots where he has had good luck with silver.  My new toy will be in by then.

I hit a school and the woods yesterday - did a little better than Friday finding over a buck 40.  I also managed another wheat penny.  It's been a while since I found silver - hope to break out of that slump soon.  Maybe today and happy Easter to all.

I started in the woods - hunted a while and managed to find a wheat penny.  Then I tried a park - not much luck there finding pennies and dime.  Then I hit a school I haven't hunted in a while - did find a wheat, a foreign coin(no clue) and little else.  The penny finds ruled the day but it beats getting shut out.  Arrival of DFX is scheduled for Wed.

DFX ON THE WAY

Just received word yesterday that my DFX  is on the way.  Should get it early next week.  Already saved pages for manual and video and will be reading and watching them this weekend. 

RAIN SHORTENED HUNT

It had rained earlier in the morning then quit for a bit.  I decided to give it a try but of course once I left the house it started to sprinkle.  I got to my school of choice and found a wheat penny right off.  Then the rain came down harder - I did manage a quarter and penny before I had to call it quits.   I purchased a Dfx Whites Spectrum E-series with a 10"x12" DD SEF Butterfly coil and a 5" Detech DD excelerator coil and a set of Auvio Wireless headphones with jack and charger for $600.  Should get it next week - can't wait.

Hit some woods and a couple of schools.  Did manage a wheat penny and another Kennedy half dollar - my third so far this year.  Had my best nickel day in a while finding 5.  Overall not too bad weather wise - a little cool, hopefully warmer tomorrow.  Only a few weeks left I think to hunt the woods.
