SATURDAY SCHOOL HUNT

Well I went back to the school where I've found lots and wheats and silver.  Today nothing but clad and more than the last few hunts.  My oldest coin was a Canadian penny.  The ground is really dry and the detector doesn't seem to be going deep.   The white's loves the wet ground.  But I need to find some new places and try to get some older coins.

QUICK HUNT IN A PARK

Tuesday a friend of mine was working in town and called me to meet him at a park where he had luck finding silver.  The park looked different to him since he had not been there for over 10 years - he wasn't sure if it was the right one but we tried it anyway.   It was quite humid and late in the day so we didn't stay long.  He found some pennies I found a dime and Canadian penny.  We crossed this park off our list.

SUNDAY HUNT

I had a late start Sunday morning - having played golf for the first time in 17 years with my son who is now interested in the sport. After seeing my score I know why it's been 17 years but anyway I hit a school later in the morning.  Then decided to try a church then it got too hot.  Found nothing old - just the usual clad - over a buck 50.

GOT OUT AFTER THE RAIN

It rained all morning and the start of the afternoon.  It stopped raining around 2 and I got out about 3:00.  I didn't hunt long cause the threat of rain was always there but I did manage a decent hunt finding over $2.60 in clad - wheat penny #50 and a silver ring.  It must have been penny day finding 19.  Hope today is better but it poured last night.

I went to a park on Sunday I've hunted before and with lots of history.  I couldn't hunt long as the rains came and had to pack it in.  I did manage a wheat penny and .12 cents.  I will get back there again but at least I got out.

DAY OFF FROM HUNTING

I didn't get the chance to venture out yesterday - not because of the weather, no places to go but it was my daughter's birthday so she wanted a lunch and  party afterwards.  I hope to get out today but the forecast is calling for rain.  There's always next weekend.
