SUNDAY HUNT

The temperature was nice so I decided to try the woods for a detecting.  The snow was a little deeper than I thought - found nothing but it was good to just get out.  Old man winter just doesn't want to leave yet - hopefully it's the end of the storms and now wishing to see warmer days. 

WINTER NOT GIVING UP

Well just got hit this morning with more snow - looks like old man winter wants to stick around a little while longer.  Hoping he would make his exit but he's being stubborn as always.  The temp isn't too bad just the snow on the ground.  The weather isn't supposed to improve much over the week - will have to play it day by day.

QUICK HUNT

The temperature wasn't the greatest but at least the sun was out so I decided to do a short hunt.  I tried some woods close to home and did manage to find an Indian head penny and 35 cents.   The date was 1906 so I'm still looking for my first 1800's coin for the year.  With this new computer I'm not sure how to post pictures yet but I'll figure it out.

SUNDAY HUNT

 I tried the woods on Sunday in an area where I found some older coins before - but today - nothing.  Need to find some new areas - it's getting slim here and I'm waiting for better ground conditions to try some of my research areas.  At least now I'm out - beats a day at work.

SATURDAY HUNT

Well it finally got warm enough to get out and do some metal detecting.  I met my friend T in his neck of the woods.  He just got a new detector - the AT-Pro and can't wait to do some water hunting.  We hit some of his spots where he has had some good finds but yesterday it was just the clad.  The ground was a lot softer than I thought it would be - so much the better - just a little muddy.  I managed to find just under a buck and an old style bell for a sleigh.  I will try and get pictures - new computer so I'm not sure how to do that yet.   Plan on giving it another shot today since the temps will be in the 50's.

WEEKEND HUNT

It's finally going to warm up this weekend - so hopefully I can get out and do some detecting.  Not sure how hard the ground is but I probably will hunt the woods so the ground shouldn't be too bad.  Maybe a little snow tonight then the warm up - hope that trend continues.

GAVE IT A TRY

The weather wasn't the best but it was good enough to get out and try an area in the woods where I've had past luck.  No such luck though only finding a memorial penny but it felt good to swing the detector again.  The snow was covering most of the ground but it wasn't deep.  Will have to see what the up coming is going to be like - and hopefully I can give it another shot.
