BIG SILVER AND 1800 COIN

I met up with J and D and we hit a city park.  Manage to find a couple of wheat pennies and clad so we hit a school where I've had luck.  Found some more wheat pennies then we tried another park.  I found my first silver coin there last week and I got lucky again and found big silver - my first walking liberty this year and an 1886 british penny.  D found wheat pennies and J just clad.

SILVER ON SUNDAY

I was planning a solo trip because of Mother's day then D gave me a call.  So we decided to hit a city park and try some different areas.  I found a canadian penny - 1916 and a wheat while D found some wheats.  He then suggested an area - glad he did - just in the edge of the woods I found a slq and v - nickel in the same hole.  We hunted a little more before going to lunch and then we tried and area next to the pizza place.   D found 2 wheats and me clad.  Then I suggested a park where I've had luck in the past - I managed a wheat and D found a slq with a date.  So we both found a standing liberty quarter.

SATURDAY HUNT - ALL CLAD

I met up with J and we hunted some parks and schools where we both had found silver before.  Not a good day - J found a wheat penny and me nothing but clad.  Of course it might have helped if I noticed my AT pro had one bar on the sensitivity.  No wonder everything was clean - couldn't read it.  Once I reset it I started finding coins but it may have been too late.

SUNDAY HUNT

Sunday I had to visit my daughter at college but did manage 2 short hunts - 1 in the morning and 1 late evening.  I met D and his friend P and hit some woods - found a wheat and my 3rd IH penny.  Later that day I had to drop my son off for some football drills so I hit a local school finding my first dollar coin for the year and clad.  Pics are coming - haven't had much time with my son's track meets - been on the road.

3 RING AND BEST NICKEL DAY

I met J and we tried a couple of new schools today.  The first school was built back in the late 50's so silver was possible.  Neither of us found any but I did find 3 wheat pennies and 2 silver rings - my first this year plus a lot of nickels.  Then we tried another school built around the same time - nothing for me but a "possible" gold ring and J found a wheat.  Not banking on the gold - no writing inside the ring.   Then we hit a school we've hunted before and just clad.  But overall a good ring day plus my best nickel day ever.

I met up with T last weekend and we started  where I found my old coin spill.  Neither of found much of anything so we decided to try a park where he and D had found silver.  Nothing for me but clad and T found a couple of wheat pennies.
Sunday I did a short hunt in some woods - again only clad but did find a silver spoon.   I hope I can do better this weekend - weather permitting.
