THE WEEKEND
D and I hit a wooded area and had some luck. The first area I found a mercury dime and buffalo nickel in the same hole along with some clad. We took a lunch break and then went to a different area and D found a mercury dime and then a shield nickel. This place is huge and we only hit a small portion of it - we'll be going back since we did find some silver and older coins.
Sunday it rained but I did managed to sneak out a bit - found only a clad dime again in the woods but different spot.

COLD SUNDAY
I did the solo thing on Sunday - D was smart and stayed where it was warm. I tried my century day spot and it was COLD. The wind was strong and went right thru you and even saw some flakes. I hunted for a couple of hours then called it a day. I did however managed to find over 3 bucks so not bad - just wish it was warmer. Nothing old - just clad.

SATURDAY IN THE RAIN
Had a late start - duties at work and D had some business to attend to but we made it out to one to the parks. D managed a silver quarter and I just got lots of clad - found 9 coins in the same hole. Then we hit a school down the road - again D found a silver quarter and me just a wheat penny and clad. The signals were weird since I was finding nickels when it should have been dimes. I did manage a silver piece of jewelry and some bus tokens.

COLUMBUS DAY HUNT
Had the day off because of the holiday - I hit a spot along the erie canal - didn't find much, just a clad quarter and 2 pennies. I wasn't expecting a big day and couldn't get into the woods yet. Maybe a few weeks from now I can venture the woods.

SUNDAY HUNT
I met up with D and we hit a spot that we had tried a while ago. D has been back but I haven't since last year. D go off to a good start while it took a while for me to find a coin. Hits are few and far between. All said and done I found 3 wheat pennies and clad while D found another war nickel - his 3rd there and a walking half dollar. Then a gentleman came over to us and said that the land belong to him. We were told it belong to the club that the site is on so we apologized and left. He wasn't upset and we told him we would not be back.

CENTURY DAY AND MORE
I had a great day yesterday going back to the spot where I found 78 coins hoping I could get over 100. Well I got lucky and did also finding an Indian head penny along with some wheats. No silver but that's okay - the IH was a surprise. Not sure if I could get another 100 but it might be worth the effort.
