I got out for a brief moment on Sunday - still cold but tolerable - managed to find a silver dime along with the clad.  Hunting this late in December is nice and it's going to get warmer by the end of week.  A nice X-mas gift for us detectorist.

COLD COLD DAY

Well the cold weather finally arrived yesterday along with a stiff breeze.  First time in a while I did not hunt on a Saturday.  Plus my son had a indoor track meet early so I attended that.  Will make an attempt this morning - still cold but not as bad.  It's supposed to warm up again by the end of the week so all is not lost for the year. 

ANOTHER WEEKEND HUNT IN DECEMBER - SILVER

What a difference a year makes.  Last year we were shoveling snow and this year no snow to be found.   I hit a couple of schools where I've had some luck before - finding a silver dime 2 wheat pennies plus clad.  This weekend is going to be cold but as long as I can dig the ground I'll be out.

BLACK FRIDAY HUNT

I took Thanksgiving off  and went out Friday morning to a school where D and T have found silver but I was looking to get on the score board.  Nope still a goose egg for silver but did manage a couple of wheat pennies and over 2 bucks in clad.  On of these days - I hope.  The weather was great being over 60 degrees and sunny.   Another day without the white stuff and a day closer to spring.
