I found another spot of woods to hunt - tried for about 3 hours and only found a penny. I did find signs of life, bullet casings, old bic lighter, foil, and the usual bottles and cans. But I want to stay in the woods for now until the growth and bugs really kick in.
I did get an extra hunt Thursday as T got the new MX detector from white's. He's trying to get use to the tones and he'll let me use it a time or two. Found a quarter on this hunt.
