I hope everyone has had a great 4th of July. The weather is still extremely hot and humid and I got out for a couple of hours this morning finding clad and 2 chuck e. cheese tokens. I haven't had much luck the last few hunts. I'm hoping that changes this coming weekend when the temps cool a little and I can get out longer.

HOT, HUMID WEEKEND

I did manage to get out this past weekend, but it was extremely hot and humid. I only hunted for a couple of hours each morning - I did find a wheat penny and the rest clad. At least I got out, hoping for cooler temps this up coming weekend.

I traveled up north this past weekend for my nieces' high school graduation. I did my usual detecting but only for few hours since we had a lot of family time planned. I did manage 4 wheat pennies and over 4 bucks in clad. I did secure a couple of permissions but won't be able to get to them until the next trip up.

TREASURE HUNT IN THE CATSKILLS

I went to my second treasure hunt at the Blackthorne Resort in the Catskills. This time T and I were determined to get a seated coin or something as old. Well that didn't happen but T had a very good weekend find silver, an IH penny and wheat pennies while I found the usual clad and an old token. T also won a gold coin on the last treasure hunt. I manage winning silver coins and a nice knife and fork set. Overall it was a fun weekend.

I had Friday off and I got out a bit to detect - tried a park close to home where I found a junk ring, clad and couple of wheat pennies.
The weekend was more of the same just finding clad but I did get a silver ring. I've had to stay close to home since I can't drive my van and when I take the car, it's needed later. I would like to go some where new but it will have to wait until I can get a new vehicle.

NO SILVER BUT SOME NICE FINDS

Saturday was my daughter's birthday and I only had a couple hours to hunt, 1- for her lunch and 2 - little league showed up so I had to leave but I did find a nice old coin - my first. It was a French coin Napoleon III cinq - 5 centimes - 1855 and some clad.

Sunday I tried a spot with the new AT Max and attack coil hoping for some deep silver. No silver but did find a couple of nice nickels and a wheat penny along with some clad. I hunted there for a few hours - I forgot my head phones and then met up with S at a park. Only found a penny there but S found a buffalo nickel. Not much in the coin department but some nice finds.

AN EXTRA DAY - SAME RESULTS

Hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend - Saturday I was a little under the weather after having a kidney stone blasted. I met up with S later in the day at a local park - just found some clad.
Sunday I hit a local school - found some wheat pennies and clad. Later in the day went to my sister in-laws for a cook out and found I think is a broach.
Sunday was back to a school and found another wheat along with clad. Been in a silver slump - need to get out of that soon.
