3 SILVER SUNDAY

My silver streak continues as I had a very good hunt on Sunday. Saturday I stayed close to home and didn't find much. Sunday I started at the same school and found a silver quarter - then later in the day I met up with S and hit another school where I found a merc and Rosie along with some wheat pennies and Canadian pennies. I also had a nice nickel run finding 10. I also found a junk ring. I hope I can keep the streak going this weekend.

SILVER STREAK STILL ALIVE

I was going to met up with T but he couldn't make it a couple of weeks ago - so I hunted the park by his house. There is still silver to be found - I managed a barber dime plus a buffalo nickel.
Sunday I went to a local school where I found a war nickel and a few wheat pennies.

The heat wave didn't stop me from getting out this weekend but it did limit my time hunting. I did manage to find another 2 mercury dimes and a few wheat pennies. I only hunt a few hours each morning before the heat kicked in. Plus I stayed close to home.

I did get out this past weekend, just been a little lax on using blogger lately. I managed to find 2 mercury dimes and some wheat pennies along with clad. The temp has been hot and the ground is hard as a rock. We did get some needed rain yesterday so I hope that helps soften the ground.

FOUND SOME SILVER NICKELS, INDIAN HEAD PENNIES

I'm giving some of my hot spots a rest now - I have hunted them hard so I'm going to other spots I have tried and found older coins.   I did manage a couple of war nickels and a few Indian head pennies. One penny is probably 1800's but is pretty toasty. The ground is starting to dry up and getting harder to cut into now. Plus I'm looking for new places to hunt - hopefully I can find a few.

YEARLY HUNT IN CATSKILLS PLUS MORE

Another father's day means another hunt in the Catskills.   I went on the natural hunt this year finding my first large cent. We hit 4 places with some of the hunters finding some nice coins. On the way back T and I hit a park and we both found Indian head pennies. I did okay in the prize department and went on several hunts for the weekend and finding a 10 dollar bill. I also have some hunts before the event.
