MORE CLAD AND SOME WHEAT PENNIES
I got out on the weekend and found more of the same like before - clad and wheat pennies. I'm hoping to break out of the silver slump - but I need to find some better places to detect. Travel is kind of in limbo with all that's going on, I'm kind of stuck around the neighborhood.

LOTS OF CLAD
T and I hit a spot that is on an 1850 map. Only problem is that others have seen it too. We couldn't find anything old or deep. I found over 8 bucks in clad - 7 in quarters alone. It got to the point where I stopped digging if the target wasn't deep. I did find a small silver ring. Cross this off the map.
Sunday I hit a local park and found more clad. Hopefully there's better luck this weekend coming up.

COLD BUT DECENT WEEKEND
I managed to get some detecting in over the weekend - didn't get any silver but did find my first 1800's coin for the year. I found an 1862 Indian head penny in a well detected spot along with a my first buffalo nickel of 2020 on Saturday.
Sunday was some wheat pennies and clad but at least I got out. Wish the weather was warmer but it's coming - I hope.

SILVER FOR THE WEEKEND
Saturday I decided to detect in the woods - spent several hours and found only 1 coin - a mercury dime.
Sunday I detected with some friends and found 9 wheat pennies and clad. We were at a spot where people use to picnic a long time ago but none of us found any silver. The weeks are nice and warm and the weekends are cool - forecast is the same for this coming weekend.

BACK IN THE SILVER FOR MARCH
I managed to get out this weekend, Saturday was cold but I met up with T and I found an Indian head penny and a couple of wheats along with clad.
Sunday I met up with some co-workers and found a mercury dime and wheat pennies. The dime was deep, about 9 inches down and found it with the Simplex. I'm getting use to the machine - still no verdict yet but time will tell.

GOT OUT A COUPLE OF HOURS
I managed to get out a couple of hours on Sunday - tried some woods in a park. I found 21 cents in clad but it was nice to swing the detector again. Hoping to get out this weekend as the weather will be better.
