Went back to the hot spot for a very quick hunt after work - didn't have much time - just under an hour. Managed about .78 cents and no silver or wheat pennies. Couldn't really hunt where I wanted since the grass was being mowed. This weekend is going to be busy with my daughter's high school graduation. I'm not sure if I can sneak out to detect.

6 FOR 6 AT HOT SPOT
Saturday started at a school by my house where I found 4 wheat pennies and then went to a city park where I met up with D. This park didn't have much to offer - found just a few clad coins. So we decided to try another park which pretty much the same result - just could find anything although D found some wheat pennies and a buffalo nickel at the second park.

Happy fathers to all you dad's out there. I had a great father's day present finding this walker half dollar - 1927s - at my hot spot along with a couple of wheat pennies. I'm 6 for 6 finding silver here. D found wheat pennies and 5 mercury dimes. The silver is there - ground has to dry up more so we can cover more area. The detector was reading funny today - got lucky with the walker - thought it was a penny - glad I dug it.

HOT SPOT STILL GIVES UP SILVER
I hit my hot spot today after work since the next few days it's going to rain again. I wish the ground would dry but with all this rain it's going to be a while. I did manage another silver dime and 9 more wheat pennies - not much in the clad dept. This is the 3rd time I have found 9 wheat pennies at one time. Finding all these wheat pennies in a small area along with the silver - I'll be expanding the search zone once (if) the ground dries.

Met up with D and we hit the city park where D had found a merc and SLQ. Well this hunt out neither of us found any silver but we did get some wheat pennies and other goodies. Again found lots of clad over 5 bucks worth - couple of foreign coins and some tokens. Rain for the next few days again - hope I can get out one evening.

HOT SPOT PRODUCES 1ST SILVER QUARTER THIS YEAR
I met my friend K and we hit my hot spot on this wet and cold morning. Really couldn't hunt like we wanted because the spots I wanted to hit were just about under water. Having that record rain on Thursday, rain on Friday didn't help much. But I did manage to find my first silver quarter of the year - a Washington and a silver ring. So the silver streak continues. Also found a couple of wheat pennies. K found some wheat pennies, clad and a silver pin. It's going to take a month before the ground dries out enough to hunt my "sweet" spot again. Am I ever glad I asked permission to hunt this site.

NEW SPOT BECOMES HOT SPOT - 3 SILVER DAY
Well my new spot has become my latest hot spot finding 3 silver dimes and another 9 wheat pennies. Also found the usual clad - the coins are DEEP here. One of the dimes was almost 10 inches down. I think I found the "sweet" spot and will hit this area hard. I hope this is just the beginning of multiple silver finds. I have the wheat pennies soaking as they are not in the best of shape and need to clean the clad and will post my findings hopefully tomorrow. Slowly getting the pics in. Got to check the wheat pennies.

NEW SPOT PRODUCES
Had the day off on Tuesday and tried my new spot. It didn't disappoint finding another mercury dime and 9 wheat pennies along with over 3 bucks in clad. And I've barely hit any of the grounds. The spot I want to try needs to dry up a little but with the rain coming tomorrow and Friday it may be a bit before I can try it.
