BROTHER IN TOWN

My brother was in town at my niece's dance classes so we got together early Saturday.  Didn't get a chance to detect as I spent most of the day with him.   I did manage a quick hunt Sunday morning using my AT pro - still trying to get use to it  - I did find a wheat penny at a local school.  I found some junk deep - and 3 stinkin lincolns.   I need some more practice with it but I like the way the detector works. 

AT PRO FINDS SILVER NUMBER 50 FOR YEAR

I met T after work and we met at my hot spot.  I used the At pro again and I found a silver coin - my 50th for the year along with some wheat pennies.  After I put my 4x6 dd coil on my V3X and my first coin with that was a wheat penny.  I liking the pro and I do like the dd coil.  Need to try some different areas and test them both out.

GOT MY AT PRO

My At Pro arrived and I tried it out Wednesday - got to get use to it but I did manage to find a couple of wheat pennies on a short hunt - had to go to dinner.  I'm going to like this machine - had T show me some settings so I think it was a very good trade.  Can't wait till spring to get into the water.

SUNDAY HUNT LEADS TO SILVER

It's been a busy week but finally getting Sunday's hunt down - met D and we tried a city park - not much there - D found a wheat and me just clad so we decided to try another park..  Ran into 2 other hunters - gopher and his friend K - we talked a bit the left to try a ball field D knew.  Well this field I had hunted before but never had luck there - just finding a coin was tough but D had found silver there.  And again he did finding 2 silver dimes and I did manage a Rosie and wheat penny.  Never would have thought that but now I'll have to add this place to my list to try again.

HOT SPOT CONTINUES TO GIVE

I went out for a couple of hours this morning - cold and windy - and hit my hot spot.  Well it continues to yield the silver - found a mercury dime and 6 wheat pennies and some clad.  Had to get back and celebrate the wife's birthday - can't miss that.  Hopefully it's a bit warmer tomorrow.

AT PRO ON THE WAY

I traded my minelab safari for a Garrett AT- Pro.  Should be arriving by the end of the week.  I had good luck with the safari having one of my best silver days ever but with limited places on land to hunt - going in the water would be the next step.  Plus I've heard about the depth of the pro so I can't wait to try it out.

SILVER STREAK CONTINUES

I met up with D yesterday and we hit a different city park - tried an area where the kids slide - only found clad and a foreign coin - D found an Indian and wheat penny.   So we tried another park of the park - had better luck there - got my second canadian dime and first war nickel of the year out of the same hole.  Managed to get over 2 bucks in clad.
