QUICK HUNT AFTER WORK

I met up with Beartoe and we hit the area where I've found 3 large cents. He tried it earlier in the week and found a wheat penny spill. Yesterday - nothing - we both barely got clad.   I found a dime and 3 pennies. If there's old silver there - it's deep.

SILVER SLUMP OVER

I was solo yesterday and hit the spot D and I tried last week. I managed to find a silver dime - my first in quite a while along with 5 wheat pennies and a ton of clad.   Had I stayed longer I probably could have had a century day - I did find 78 coins and there is much more ground to cover - maybe next weekend I'll try and get it. No pics yet as scanner is down but I will post them once I get it going again.

CLAD SUNDAY

I met up with D and we hunted a park - wasn't sure how old it was but it was pretty clean - not many hits and nothing old.   So we decided to try a school - lots of clad but again nothing old. So we hit another area where I had found some silver - nothing but clad for me and D found another war nickel - he has been on a nickel roll plus he found some wheat pennies. Been a while since I found some silver - maybe this weekend.   Went over a thousand coins for the year. Scanner is down. No pics

HUNT IN THE PARK

I met up with D and we hit a park that he has had luck in finding silver. The only silver was a ring D found and he also found a V and buffalo nickels. D is on a nickel roll. We both managed wheat pennies. I'm still trying my new 12" super coil - not sure what to think yet - need some more time with it.

NEW COIL ARRIVED

Got my new 12" white's super coil and gave it a quick test yesterday. I went to where I found my large cents - found clad but I do like the coil. I can cover more ground and it's light. I'll be using the V3X more now and see what I can dig up.

A NICKEL KIND OF DAY

I met up with D and we hit a spot where I found my first 1909 wheat penny. Neither of us have found anything but wheat pennies but yesterday it was nickel day. D found 4 buffalo, a V and war nickels while I found 2 buffalo, an Indian penny and we both found wheats. We still think there is silver there - the coins are deep - at least 6" down so maybe next time. The ground is really moist so the reason for some of the toasty coins.
