FIRST SIVLER QUARTER

I started early then got a call from my brother. So I packed it in and met him for breakfast. After several of hours we went out separate ways. I tried a spot that has been hit hard but managed to find my first silver quarter of the year and clad.   Then I hit a spot where a school use to be and found 3 wheat pennies. Overall a good day plus the weather was fantastic.

SHORT SATURDAY HUNT

My brother is in town for my niece's dance recital so I hit some woods early. Wasn't expecting to find much and that held true finding clad and a wheat penny and not much else. Did find an old stop watch that had a date on the back of when it was repaired.   I got an extra hunt in on Friday as I worked at my old school and went out on my break. Again just clad but always good to swing the detector.

OLD GROUND

With the new 15" coil I hit some old ground to see if I could find some more goodies. I went back to a spot where I found 3 large cents including my oldest. Not much to brag about - a wheat penny and some clad. Plus I found my first ring of the year - junk but I'll take it.    Then I hit a wooded area but used a different machine and found some clad. Wasn't a bad day but it could have been warmer. I'll have the tally shortly.

SHORT HUNT - CANADIAN SILVER

I had a meeting for work in the morning then my son wanted to work out so I got a late start yesterday. I wanted to try one area but little league is in full swing so I had to try another spot. My first 3 coins were 2 wheat pennies then a silver dime - Canadian then clad after that. It wasn't exactly warm - the wind was cold so I hunted just a few hours. Will post the pics later today.

SECOND EVER DIME TRIFECTA

I went back to the spot where I found 3 Indian pennies and thought there was silver about. Well I was right finding 3 silver dimes - a barber, mercury and Rosie getting my second ever dime trifecta. No Indian heads but did find 4 wheat pennies along with clad.   Still couldn't find any nickels - maybe next time as most of the ground was dry - still some damp areas. Also found a token.

FOUND A LITTLE SILVER

I trekked a couple of hours in the woods and managed to find a silver Rosie, a wheat and king George Canadian penny.   I can finally get in there with all the snow gone but there's still some pretty wet spots. Then I hit the area where I had my century day last year and found clad. It was just a morning hunt - the wind really kicked up so I decided to leave.   No pics yet as my printer is down - hope to get it fixed or get another one today.

3 LITTLE INDIANS

I hit the road yesterday and went to a spot where I thought I could find some nickels, D and I had luck there last year but instead I found 3 Indian head pennies - personal best for a day - 2 wheat pennies and clad. I like this new 15 inch coil - the coins were deep - at least 8 inches down. I know there has to be silver there - over half the ground was too soggy to detect so I will go back - this week is supposed to be nice.   I also found some old play money.
