NOT MUCH TO TALK ABOUT

Not much to write about on my last 3 hunts - starting Columbus day I went on a road trip and hit a park - it had trails but found just clad.
Saturday I did a quick morning hunt as I had to take my son to a college fair. Only hunted about 90 minutes but did manage a couple of wheat pennies and clad.
Sunday I went to my dime trifecta spot - there was snow on the ground and it was very muddy to dig. I found 2 pennies though one was a wheatie.   Plus it was cold.

I met up with K Sunday morning at a school in his neck of the woods. I had been to this school before with not much luck but that change when I found a Rosie. My son tag along since K was his track coach and wanted to talk to him - so again overall a good day.

SATURDAY HUNT

With the recent past rain and the ground being a lot easier to dig - I hit some spots that I've found some goodies before. My first stop where I found a barber dime and some wheat pennies was cut short by kids going to have a softball game. Did find some clad. My second stop found nothing and the third was in the woods and I managed a mercury dime and a wheat penny along with clad. So not too bad of a day.

THE WEEKEND

Since we had lots of rain during the past week I went to my 4 large cent found spot hoping to get some old silver. With the ground being damp and soft again, having the detector read deeper but nope - not to be just finding clad. So I went to a near by school and did manage to find a silver dime and some wheat pennies. Not a bad Saturday.
Sunday I hit a trail - finding just clad and then some woods and did get a wheat penny. Couldn't hunt long as my son had a college fair. There's always next week.

WEEKEND IN THE WOODS

With the lack of rain and the ground being rock hard I hit the woods this past weekend.   Saturday I found a new spot - it had long trails and a creek.   I hunted for a few hours only finding clad and the usual bullet shells.
Sunday I went to a familar spot hoping to find something old. No dice - again just clad. So far the woods have not been productive but I'm not going to give up. Now I hope it rains so I can hit some areas that have been giving.

WEDNESDAY HUNT IN THE WOODS

I had the day off this past Wednesday and hit the woods. I hunted on several trails and a creek but found nothing but clad. Saw signs of life but could not find anything old. But as they say - a bad detecting is better than a good day at work.

LAST FEW HUNTS

Well last Monday I had the day off and I hit an area I thought had some history to it. I hunted some trails and the woods but only found some clad on a path. Nothing at all in the woods. I know a lot of people go to this site but I was surprised with the lack of noise.
Saturday I went back to where I had my 3 silver day. I did manage to find another silver dime and 10 wheat pennies.   I hope we get a good soaking rain, then this place will be easier to dig - ground like a rock.
Yesterday I went to a historical spot and again found clad. Had some good target hits but they ended up being junk.
