A SO-SO WEEKEND

The weather was a little chilly but warm enough to get out and hunt.   Not much to speak of - found 6 wheat pennies, a junk ring and clad.  But getting out is always fun and with a warm up coming it should be better.   Plan on some trips this spring - hope to find that honey hole somewhere.

SLOW - SNOWY WEEKEND

Saturday I tried a park where I've had luck in the past.  But no luck that day, just 3 clad dimes. So I tried a wooded area and then came the snow/rain mix.  So I called it a day.  
Sunday was just snow so no getting out except to work where I had to snow blow the sidewalks.   At least I got out one day.   Last year my first hunt was April 4th so I can't complain.

THE WEEKEND

I got  out this past weekend with the decent weather.  Saturday I hit a park and did find a wheat penny and not much else.  I then moved to another park and found clad.
Easter Sunday I went to a school and found a couple of wheat pennies and clad.   The family had a brunch at my sister in-laws and I hunted the property finding 2 wheat pennies including a 1909 plain.  I didn't a chance to hunt much and will have to go back knowing there is some old coins in the ground.

I got out yesterday - wasn't the warmest day but managed to hit the park where I found those nickels in the same hole.  I did find another buffalo nickel and my first silver there - a mercury dime.  Not much else after that but worth the hunt.

THE WEEKEND

Got out this past weekend - Saturday I met H at his home turf. We hit 3 parks - 1 was closed and the other 2 were full of trash.  Did manage a wheat penny a buck in clad.
Sunday I hit the woods - found a wheat penny and over a buck in clad.  Then it was home to work on the house.  Not an exciting weekend but nice to get out.

NICKEL KIND OF DAY

It was a beautiful day yesterday with temps in the 60's and getting out again in February.   My first half of the day was spent in the woods, then a park finding only clad.  T gave me a call then I headed out his way.  We tried a place where they were a new library is going in - T found a mercury and that was it.   We then hit a park where I found  2 V nickels and a buffalo in the same hole and T found another mercury.  I also got a toasty wheat penny.   So overall a beautiful day.
