For the past 3 days I've been on vacation - getting some of the to do list done and detecting of course. I finally found some silver getting a mercury dime, couple of wheat pennies and clad.   Been hitting the same ole area's got to try some new places.

A VERY SLOW PAST WEEKEND

I'm finally getting around to put last weekends finds in the blog - it was a slow but did have nice weather. I tried my Hoover boy hunting in a corn field gig but found nothing. At least it was different and then hit the woods where I did manage a wheat penny.
Sunday I tried a couple of parks - 1 with S and found another wheat penny and some clad. Hopefully this weekend will end up being better.

ANOTHER COLD, WET WEEKEND

The weather is still lousy as it was cold and wet, but I managed to get out a bit. Saturday I hunted in the woods and found clad in the middle of no where and also an 1869 Indian head penny.
Sunday I got late start due to rain and went back to the woods where I found nothing then S sent me a text and I met him at the park we have been hunting. Only clad then I had to leave to get some chores done. I've had better weekends but at least I got out.

COLD, WHEAT AND CLAD

I met up with S this past weekend - the weather was cold and windy and the finds were wheat pennies and clad. Saturday I did find 4 wheat pennies in a hole and not much else.
Sunday we tried a different park - at least for me - I did find a wheat penny and we both found clad.
We then went to a school where nothing changed and S called it a day. I had a quick bite then tried a different school where I found another wheat spill - this time 3 in the hole.
Hopefully next weekend it's warmer - this cold weather sucks.

LONG WEEKEND HUNT

I got in an extra day of hunting with having Good Friday off - found some silver so it wasn't a bad weekend. Still getting use to the new "At Max" - seems to be a nice machine and I am finding some deeper targets. I would like to try it though in a not so trashy area - these local parks and schools are full of trash - may go in the woods sometime. Also found a very small silver ring.

SILVER WITH NEW DETECTOR

I guess the only good thing about winter is the overtime I work. I put a little a side each check to get me an AT Max machine which arrived on Saturday. I met up with S on Sunday and hit a local park where the ground was showing still have lots of snow on the ground. I managed to get a mercury dime, junk jewelry and clad. This is a nice machine and can't wait to really use it when the snow melts.

BRING BACK FEBRUARY

Another weekend gone by and another weekend no metal detecting. March has been a terrible month so far - bring back February, it was warmer and I got some detecting in. This week is supposed to be cold too so looks like I won't be going out again.
