SILVER STREAK CONTINUES

Saturday I met up with T at a park - he found the first silver but I got the best silver finding a barber and Merc, also getting my first 1800's coin for the year. I also got a buffalo nickel and few wheat pennies. We went to another park where the luck ran out. The weather was nice for once - it was a good day.
Sunday I met up with S and we hit a local park. I managed another silver coin and some wheat pennies but we didn't stay long as the weather was terrible - how it changes day to day. Overall a very good weekend.

SILVER ON SUNDAY

The weather a was little better so I gave it a shot for Sunday. My first spot had a too much snow so I had to travel to another park. Started slow but ended up with my first silver quarter for the year and 6 wheat pennies plus lots of clad. Hopefully the cold and snow are done.

Hunting has been slow but I'm trying to get out when I can. Last week I did manage to find a silver dime, IH, buffalo nickel and wheat penny along with some clad. Of course it snow last night plus it's windy and cold but tomorrow may I should be able to get out as the temp is going up to 50.

I've been a little lazy so far this year about posting - I did find my first silver coin of 2019 the first week of January. I also found a couple of wheat pennies and the usual clad (can't remember what it was) The weather has been terrible lately so I've been doing some research. Hopefully we can get out soon.

GOALS FOR 2019

2018 was a good year detecting. I finally can cross of some coins from the bucket list. My first is the barber quarter and a shield nickel. Both weren't in the best of shapes but I'll take finding them anytime. I also had my best silver year in a while finding 27 coins and 157 wheat pennies. My coin total was also up plus I had my best year finding barber dimes, Indian head pennies and buffalo nickels.
So I hope now to find a half dime any 1800's or older silver coin. A gold coin is always on the list and I would like to hit the 50 mark in finding silver coins. I did do some traveling and plan to travel much more and get permissions. I'm hoping to get to Virginia this year and find some civil war items. But I'll take what I can get - a bad day detecting is always better than a good day at work.
