History: These U S quarters were designed by Charles E. Barber. The
Barber or Liberty Head type quarters were minted between 1892-1916. The "3 Keys" to the series are the 1896-S, 1901-S and 1913-S. The 1901-S is by far the most valuable having a value of $5,500 in Good-4. I will have to wait until next year to try and find my first.
