I received my 950 stock coil for my DFX this morning so I decided to try it out in my backyard. I wasn't expecting to find anything since I've hunted it with my prizm II and IDX pro. I got a hit around 71 -72 and I thought another piece of siding. So I used a shovel to dig and check the pile - the object was there. I looked for it and then saw some silver - I picked it up and it was a mercury dime. I couldn't believe it. I probably went over it with the other detectors thinking it was junk since I found plenty of siding. Part 2 I was at my niece's house where I had found a silver Washington before. Her neighborhood was a having a garage sale and as always we put some things in it and I hunted her back yard with my "new" coil. Found 3 wheat pennies and clad quarter I know I missed with the IDX. These coins were deep. I hope I can get out tomorrow and try the coil some more. I hunted my yard again and found a clad dime.
