Saturday morning I tried the beach before the heat arrived - not much in the sand - only some pennies and dimes. Haven't had much luck here but the ground is rock hard and the sand is easier to dig. We did get some rain Sunday morning and I decided to hunt a local school in the afternoon. The rain did nothing for the ground - managed only 3 pennies but one was a wheat. All the hits were shallow about a couple of inches down. Will post pics of the finds later - We could use days of steady rain to soften the ground but it's back to the 90's tomorrow.
