I went detecting at a friends house today - the house is over 100 years old. We got off to a slow start then found a clad coin or 2. I went down by the road and got a quarter hit - when I dug the hole I could tell it was silver. A 1948-s Washington - the s surprised me - don't find many out this way. Also found 17 cents in clad but I wasn't expecting a big clad count. I let my friend borrow my Delta 4000 and she found her first wheat penny and now she's hooked. There is over 45 acres of land - most of it woods and we will hit that in the fall. So overall not a bad day.
