After the morning rain I had to get out and try a couple of schools with the nice wet ground. My first school I have hit many times and tried a different field. I did manage a silver dime (Rosie) and a couple of wheat pennies. That was with my safari going across the field. Then I tried my DFX - once I remembered how to use it - up and down the field. Didn't find as many coins but did find my quarters with it. Found a lot of pennies - they were deep around 6 - 7 inches down so I thought I would have found more wheat pennies but not the case. Then I hit my hot spot with the DFX and found a wheat penny - kinda deep - the ground had a very hard surface - thought it would have been softer but seems the rain got soaked up.
