I started out on Saturday at a local park after a few hours I noticed another person metal detecting so I went over to him (S) and we found out we are on the same web site. So we hunted and chatted a bit together, then we noticed another hunter arrived and stayed to himself. I had to leave so I went over and introduced myself to the other hunter - he was from Utica and part of the EARTH group. He said he like to get out to the old parks and hunt while I said we should be the ones going to his location - the group has found lots of old coins and relics.
S and I made plans to meet on Sunday at my old school where I worked and where S graduated from to try our luck. We each found wheat pennies, some jewelry and lots of clad. I had my best nickel day in a while finding 8. We plan to meet up again - maybe finding some silver the next time.
