New detector
I just purchased a new -for me- whites IDX pro detector and should receive it next week. Looking forward to it. My prizm has done me well but it's time that I get something a little bit better to help me find some older coins.

Seated Liberty dimes (1837–1891)
Christian Gobrecht completed the design of this dime. There were several minor varieties during the Seated Liberty's run
Variety 2: 1838 - 1853, stars on obverse, no drapery from elbow, tilted shield.
Variety 3: 1853 - 1855, arrows at date.
Variety 4: 1860 - 1873, legend on obverse.
Variety 5: 1873 - 1874, arrows at date.
Variety 4 resumed 1875 - 1891. The most valuable EF40 being an 1872cc.
Still looking for my first

Last few hunts
I've been hunting just not finding a lot so here is a picture on my last 3 hunts. Hopefully this week will be better as the weather will be a little cooler and we got some much needed rain. My take was 9-q, 12-d, 5-n and 13 pennies for a total of $3.82 along with ring #26 - I think junk.

very short lunch hunt
Had a lot to do yesterday and didn't get out at lunch time to hunt like I wanted. Only found 22 cents - 2 dimes and 2 pennies. Hopefully today I will have a little more time.

Liberty Seated Half Dollar
History: They began minting Liberty Seated Halves in 1839 to 1892. Important to note that this coin was in circulation during the Civil War. The thick edge around the outside is called a reeded edge. The designer was Christian Gobrecht and it has a weight 13.36 grams. The composition is .900 silver and .100 copper. The most valuable half dollars are... an 1853O, 1873S, 1870CC, 1878CC, or any of them made between 1879 and 1890 are worth some bucks, probably because there were so few of them made. CC stands for Carson City. Seated Liberty coins featured a few minor design changes over the years. In 1853 and 1873, the U.S. Mint changed the weight of each denomination of silver coins. Both times, arrows were added to the coins on each side of the date and were removed from coins in 1856 and 1875, I would love to find a coin like this - my only half dollar find is a JFK.

2 more wheats
Found 2 more wheats today and some clad. Told some friends of the location with better detectors and one found 5 wheat pennies and my other friend found a 1937 mercury dime. So there is silver there but it's hard to come by. My clad total for the last few hunts - 6-q, 15-d, 3-n and 15 pennies $3.30 - 39 coins.
